Itoko, means cousin in Japanese, and this project, is about my cousin. Sayuri and I born six days apart in Mexico City, we were very close growing up, our lives were similar, same school, friends, but all that time I ignored the fact that she has Japanese heritage.

Not while ago we got into a trip to Japan, it was our first time there, but most importantly, her first time connecting with her Japanese roots, and this project is about how through this trip our past and present were connected to understand each other.
